The staff was friendly. The room looked exactly like the pictures. The maids cleaned up the room everyday very nice. The hotel pool was open all night, Peaceful and quiet. Spacious room and big bed. Good channels on tv. Great location not very far from the colliseum and sea aquarium and Folly beach and downtown.
My only complaint is that the ice machine was out of ice our first day there. But I believe it was full the next day. Also there was no refrigerator in our room.
It's easy to find and a good distance from the heart of the city and from the beach.
The pool could be bigger :)
The outside light shines right on the bed and it kept me up even after I put a towel over the window. They should put curtains up, turn it out or rearrange furniture!
Picnic area and pier were nice. Young lady at the desk was very helpful in resolving problems with poor lighting over vanity and no washcloths in the room.
The best thing about this hotel is the landscaping and the fact that they allow pets.
I asked up front about the pet policy. It was not until I checked in that they said there was a $10 a night extra charge for pets. They also do not offer WI-Fi. The room was fair however the carpet and the small couch were filthy. There is a Best Western Sawgrass up the street that also allows pet for almost the same price. I have stayed there and they are excellent. Given the chance I will always stay there from nows on. The breakfast bar at the Creekside was also pretty bad. At the Best Western they have someone woring the breakfast area and have a full line of good things to eat including yogurt, bagels, waffels, juices etc.
Motel had a pleasing curbside appearance. Rooms were clean and the outside of the motel was being refurbished. Location was great. We would probably stay here again on our next visit.
The convenience of its location. This is a typical no-frills place to stay for someone en route, not a destination resort. A nice pool for travelers with kids as well.
i loved this hotel the beds are so comfey. only a short distance to downtown.i went to dock every morning to drink coffee it was so relaxing!!! i booked this vacation to get back to me and i got me back!!!!!!
only diet coke in vending machine :( but cant blame hotel for that so bring the drink of your choice
The continental breakfast was pretty good. The room was comfortable and at least the staff did let me switch rooms (see below), but only after I complained that I had specifically asked for a first floor, non-smoking room (obvious was given a smoking room by the smell and the ashtrays in the room).
The room was comfortable, but I had asked for a ground floor, non- smoking room and they put me on the second floor and it was obvious the room was a smoking room by the smell of smoke. Then, when I complained, they said there was nothing on the first floor with 2 double beds, although I saw there were rooms with double beds. They did change the room to a downstairs room with a king-size bed, but I wonder why they asked for special instructions. I fell trying to get my stuff up to the second floor room and that irked me since I did spefically ask for a 1st floor (although still one flight of stairs to climb) room...and I booked the room way in advance, so, I think it was because the rates had gone up and I had gotten room at lower rate.
It was really comfortable and clean. It was in a good location that was a few miles from downtown charleston.
Comfortable bed. Seems like they are trying to improve the property. Good location, property looks nice outside. Next to a river with some wildlife and a nice pool.
The room was in various states of disrepair. Functionally everything worked except the microwave.
The staff are very hospitable. They have awesome free breakfast ranging from a waffle to biscuits and sausage gravy. The rooms are clean and modernly decorated. There is a dock on site where you can fish, crab, and shrimp. There is a great picnic area. It is overall a great little place to stay for a very affordable price.
the information seemed to indicate that it was closer to going downtown Charleston. the entrance door did not close entirely, large space at bottom of door letting in a lot of light & noise. did not like the outside light right over the window, let in a lot of light at night.
The creekside relaxing nature, swings, dock, nice people, beautiful, comfortable room
convienient location, comfortable bed
poor plumbing bathroom came with needed plunger and a spare toilet tank flap valve
